We’ll be paying for these coronavirus missteps for DECADES!

Americans just aren’t living as long as they used to.

According to the latest data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), life expectancy in America dropped from 78.8 years in 2019 to 77.0 years in 2020. That reflects the BIGGEST backslide in life expectancy in our great country since World War II!

And even though we’re not engaged in a devastating world war, men are still dying at a dramatically higher rate than women.

In fact, life expectancy among men dropped from 76.3 years in 2019 to 74.2 years in 2020. That’s a backslide of 2.1 years! (Among women, life expectancy dropped by half a year—from 81.4 years in 2019 down to 79.9 in 2020.)

Now—as you might expect, the CDC says this staggering decline stems “primarily” from the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. And they say “other factors”—such as drug overdoses, cirrhosis of the liver, and Type II diabetes—only played a marginal role.

But they’re wrong. DEAD WRONG.

Because even those so-called “other” deaths most certainly relate—in one way or another—to the coronavirus itself…or to the government’s hysterical overreaction to the virus.

Here’s what I mean…

CDC misses the forest for the trees

As I recently reported, the recent spike in drug overdose deaths relates almost entirely to the government’s overreaction to the coronavirus.

Remember, the coronavirus-related shutdowns denied access to non-drug, hands-on approaches for pain management (such as acupuncture, bodywork, massage, meditation, and yoga) to MILLIONS of suffering Americans. So, they ended up turning to dangerous and addictive drugs for relief instead.

We can also strongly tie the increases in cirrhosis of the liver to the pandemic…

In fact, according to a national survey of U.S. adults, excessive drinking (such as binge drinking) increased by 21 percent during the pandemic. Of course, that increase isn’t all that surprising—since people were stuck at home, stressed out, for months on end with nothing to do and nowhere to go.

But here’s the rub…

Harvard scientists estimate that even this one-year increase in alcohol abuse during the coronavirus pandemic will result in 8,000 additional deaths from alcohol-related liver disease, 18,700 cases of liver failure, and 1,000 cases of liver cancer by 2040. Plus, a sustained increase in alcohol consumption for more than one year could result in up to a 35 percent increase in mortality. So, of course, cirrhosis of the liver is impacting life expectancy!

The government’s mandated shutdowns and restrictions to routine healthcare also caused people to skip or delay getting screened or treated for chronic conditions like heart disease and Type II diabetes. So, again, it’s no wonder deaths from Type II diabetes topped 100,000 for the first time in history!

Clearly, despite what the CDC wants to admit, each of these so-called “other” factors tie into the coronavirus itself…and more so, into the government’s pandemic panic.

It’s all one, great, big, avoidable fiasco, because, remember—at worst—the coronavirus has less than a 2 percent mortality rate. (And I personally believe those figures are inflated.)

“Hell to pay for decades”

In the end, it appears that the CDC’s official coronavirus death total is just the tip of the iceberg. And there’s a lot more to this mess than they want to admit.

In fact, Jeffrey Tucker writes the Daily Reckoning, one of my favorite e-letters. And he says, there’s going to be “hell to pay for decades.” He also wonders:

What’s striking and truly shocking is that all of the efforts, all of the propaganda, all of the astonishing spending and compulsion—the shutdowns, masking, size limits, travel restrictions, vaccination requirements, the track and trace, the endless testing—and what do we have to show for it?

Not much, I’m afraid, Jeffrey.

Well, while the government continues to gloss over the horrible impact of their buffoonery on our basic freedoms…our society…our economy…our health…and, now, even our longevity, you MUST take steps to protect yourself and your family. Here are my suggestions:

1.) Find a good doctor who listens. First off, make sure to keep up on your routine annual visits. Hopefully, you have a good doctor who listens to you as an individual. (The American Association of Naturopathic Physicians is a good place to start. You can search their database of physicians here.) And if you want to discuss a specific health topic, I hope you’ll find the sources listed at the bottom of each Daily Dispatch helpful.

2.) Support a healthy immune system. As always, a healthy immune system is the best prevention against any type of virus. So, make sure to stick to your basic, balanced Mediterranean-type diet with plenty of organic fruits and vegetables, wild-caught fish, grass-fed and -finished meats, and full-fat dairy.

In addition, I hope you’ll join me this Sunday, February 6th at 3:00 p.m. Eastern time for my Inflammation Fighting Summit. During this exclusive event, I’ll discuss how your immune system may be able to better power down disease when deadly inflammation is “turned off.” Click here now to reserve your spot!

3.) Nourish your spirit. As the coronavirus continues to drag on, I suggest you take steps to relieve stress and anxiety with some mind-body approaches. You can learn about which approaches will work best for you personally in my books: New World Mindfulness and Overcoming Acute and Chronic Pain: Keys to Treatment Based on Your Emotional TypeI also encourage you to spend as much time out in Nature as possible.
