CONQUERING THE “DIRTY DOZEN”:
Long-ignored secrets to beating
the mainstream’s “mystery” illnesses
Forgotten…abandoned…ignored—physicians should be ASHAMED
Dear friend,
There are 12 chronic illnesses that have been confounding physicians to the point of abandonment for decades. If you struggle with any of the following, you need to know—Dr. Micozzi never gave up the hunt…
- Asthma
- Chronic fatigue syndrome
- Depression
- Fibromyalgia
- Hypertension
- Irritable bowel syndrome
- Migraine headaches
- Phantom pain
- Post-traumatic stress disorder
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Skin disorders like psoriasis & eczema
- Ulcers
The “Dirty Dozen” is particularly bothersome to most medical researchers because they want to find a single factor—a simple cause-and-effect relationship.
But it’s just not that simple.
The “Dirty Dozen” is a complex crew—but that doesn’t mean they can’t be stopped. You need time, experience and deep understanding of how the body is connected. And that’s where Dr. Micozzi’s unique training not only as an M.D., but also a Ph.D. in medical anthropology and epidemiology, sets him well ahead of the pack.
Dr. Micozzi has a masterful understanding of how the body works in a way no self-proclaimed prime-time guru can match. He’s applied this unique training to the pursuit of an explanation and solution to these confounding conditions. Along with long-time colleague Michael A. Jawer, an expert in emotions research and “sick building syndrome.”
The “Miracle Map” to ENDING…
migraines, fibromyalgia, psoriasis,
rheumatoid arthritis, and MORE…
…starts with your emotional type. And all is revealed in their groundbreaking new book, Your Emotional Type: Key to the therapies that will work for you.
Famed physician Larry Dossey, M.D., says this book “may be the Rosetta Stone we’ve been waiting for…”
You see, different people process their feelings in different ways–your emotional style is a fundamental aspect of who you are. It affects more than just your outlook on life; it can affect your well-being as well.
Many chronic ailments are not the result of germs or genes but are rooted in our emotional biology. The link between emotional type and health explains why modern medicine–which views treatment as “one size fits all”–often fails to successfully treat chronic pain and illness.
Have you ever wondered why acupuncture may work
for your friend’s bad knee, but not yours?
The reason may actually lie in your emotional type!
Here’s another example. Surely you’ve experienced a “gut feeling” about something. Something that gave you pause. That nagging doubt. These feelings don’t come out of nowhere. They emanate from a very tangible part of your body—the gut.
Surely you’ve heard the phrase “I’m not feeling myself today.” That feeling is linked to your body, how you physically feel.
In fact, there’s a fast-growing discipline known as psycho-neuroimmunology, which studies this interaction between the brain and body, the nervous and immune systems, personality and stress, and emotions and health.
Again, it comes back to the inherent connection of body and mind. How you “feel” is not just “all in your head.”
Here’s an example. Think for a moment about your most indelible lifetime memory. Many today would say the collapse of the World Trade Center on 9-11-2001. Before then, many of a certain age and up would say it was the Space Shuttle Challenger blowing up in mid-flight in 1986, or President John F. Kennedy’s assassination in 1963. Or perhaps it’s the moment you heard your beloved say “I do.” The more intense the feeling or the more vivid the encounter, the stronger the recollection will be. Experiences that scare, shock, or thrill us are among our most indelible lifetime memories.
And such memories are whole body recollections, relying on connections between the amygdala (a part of the brain that stays on alert for major threats), the vagus nerve (which connects the brain to the adrenal glands atop the kidneys and to the whole body), the adrenal glands themselves (which secrete the “fight or flight” hormones), and the rest of the vital organs and nervous system.
In fact, our vital organs together contain more chemical messengers (neurotransmitters and neuropeptides that are critical for brain activity), than does the brain itself!
That GUT FEELING is
no mere figure of speech!
The gut actually has its own self-contained nervous system, known as the enteric nervous system. It can operate in the complete absence of input from the brain or even the spinal cord. It is vast, with more than one-hundred million nerve cells in the small intestine alone. Add to that the nerve cells of the esophagus, stomach, and large intestine…the result is that the gut contains more nerve cells than does the spinal cord.
Making it effectively your “second brain.”
Within this “second brain” is a vast chemical factory. It produces every type of neurotransmitter that can be found in the brain. Neurotransmitters are like the “words” that nerve cells use to communicate.
The stream of messages in the gut is so continuous, in fact, that scientists have even come up with a name for it—the brain-gut axis.
So the term “gut feeling” is no mere figure of speech. Those feelings that bother you, but that you just can’t put your finger on, are well worth your time to decipher—and embrace.
Other everyday terms about the body are also much more than metaphors. Consider the following:
“My heart is full.”
“That’s a heart-warming story.”
“What he did was cold-hearted.”
“My heart’s just not in it.”
“In my heart, I know it’s true.”
Not only can the brain communicate instantaneously with the heart via receptors in the heart for neuropeptides (the brain’s words), but the heart’s atrium area produces a hormone that affects several parts of the brain as well as the pituitary and pineal glands.
What’s more, remarkably, the heart registers by far the strongest electrical and magnetic activity of any organ in the body, including the brain. Indeed, the heart’s projected energy can continue to fill a room long after the people occupying it have left.
The notion of mind and body as two
different domains needs to be put to rest
Our muscles, our organs, our skin, our nervous system, our endocrine system, our immune system—all are connected, sending cellular and chemical messages to each other continuously and instantaneously. States of health and illness, feeling and mood, reflect the state of the self at any given moment. Mind and body are one.
So seen this way, each of us is psychosomatic! It’s necessary and normal! And it’s the key to defeating the Dirty Dozen.
It all comes down to how you
experience your feelings
Do they flow easily? Are you “thin skinned?” Or do they flow slower and thicker? Are you more “thick skinned?”
And now, Your Emotional Type connects the healing dots between your emotions, chronic illness and pain, and treatment success. And finally reveals how chronic conditions are intrinsically linked to certain emotional types and how these ailments are best treated by choosing a healing therapy in line with your type.
With Your Emotional Type, you will learn the emotional ties behind the 12 most common chronic illnesses…asthma, allergies, chronic fatigue, depression, fibromyalgia, hypertension, irritable bowel syndrome, migraines, post-traumatic stress disorder, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcers

Your Emotional Type will also disclose
hidden facts about each of the “Dirty Dozen”
Many sufferers (and physicians) don’t realize some simple truths about the “Dirty Dozen” like…
- The TRIGGER behind chronic fatigue syndrome can be…just one traumatic experience. It’s true! Well-known researchers at Ohio State have proposed that increased stress can activate viruses long present in the body (a theory Dr. Micozzi has written about in his books)…
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome is CRIPPLING the lives of 10-15% of the U.S. population…but what’s a missing connection most doctors never think about? Serotonin. 95% of the body’s serotonin is found in the GUT, not the brain…and IBS sufferers have been shown to have low levels of serotonin compared to non-sufferers.
- Overcome depression? Mainstream medicine is taking the WORST APPROACH. One in twelve adults experience a major depressive episode—and too many of them are pointed toward Prozac and Zoloft. The highs and lows these drugs produce can do more harm than good while never dealing with the root cause of depression.
Every member of the “Dirty Dozen” has a secret source and a secret solution. It’s not as simple as the mainstream “know-it-alls” would like it to be…but for over 20 years Dr. Micozzi has been tediously mapping out their connections and finding their hidden causes.
While his colleagues on the inside were busy hunting for that silver bullet or just completely ignoring these crippling conditions altogether—Dr. Micozzi has been perfecting his approaches to treatment. And now he’s ready to share them with you.
With Your Emotional Type in hand, you will finally discover…
- The MAIN REASON why mainstream medicine will never solve chronic illnesses.

And most importantly, you’ll learn…
- Your own emotional type
- Which of 7 mind-body popular healing therapies work best for your type

P.S. There have been many (perhaps too many) books published on alternative medicine and mind-body therapies in the past two decades. But they have all missed an essential element: how do these approaches work for each person as an individual? While physicians and scientists have been preoccupied with the symptoms of illness and how a given treatment works, Your Emotional Type matches those treatments with your individual personality type, explaining how they can work for you.
