Protect your prostate with this Florida-grown natural wonder

Prostate health is an important issue for men. Especially men over 60.

Unfortunately, the government-industrial-medical complex has been leading us in all the wrong directions for decades — with faulty prostate specific antigen (PSA) testing and aggressive, dangerous, and unnecessary treatments.

As I discussed yesterday, the best approach is to focus on prevention. And one of the best natural extracts to support your prostate comes from the fruit of a small palm bush native to Florida — a place where I enjoy spending more than half of each year.

I’m talking about saw palmetto extract.

Saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) extract derives from the berry of the American dwarf tree, which grows in the southern coastal regions of the United States.

For centuries, Native Americans — such as the Seminole — employed these berries medicinally for urinary health.

Saw palmetto also has a long history of use in mainstream “western” medicine, dating back to the 1800s. And it’s the subject of at least 100 clinical studies.

Saw palmetto seems to work by reducing inflammation and balancing the body’s supply of androgen hormones, such as testosterone.

Florida taking steps to safeguard natural resources

Saw palmetto is big business in the U.S. In fact, dietary supplements with saw palmetto bring in $25 million in annual sales.

But the supplement’s popularity has led to overharvesting of the berries, which grow wild in Florida.

At the same time, Florida has been experiencing commercial overdevelopment and some serious environmental challenges — from hurricanes, to overflow from Lake Okeechobee into the great Everglades, to red tides off the coasts.

Together, these factors have taken a huge toll on saw palmetto growth in Florida.

Fortunately, the state is now taking steps to protect its natural resources — including saw palmetto

In fact, as of July 17, 2018, harvesters, sellers, and transporters of saw palmetto must obtain a special Native Plant Harvesting Permit.

While I’m generally against more government control, this permit will serve a good purpose. It will help improve the quality control of the harvesting of this potent medicinal plant. Also, we need to protect saw palmetto to protect our prostates, and to protect wild species in the environment.

For prostate protection, I recommend 900 mg of saw palmetto berry extract per day. Also, look for a supplement that contains 100 mg of beta-sitosterol (the active ingredient in saw palmetto). You can find this formula in supplement form in most pharmacies, grocery stores, health supplement shops, or online. I’ll give you more details about the benefits of saw palmetto and many other natural approaches you can take to protect your prostate in my upcoming online learning protocol.

I’ll keep you updated on my progress. And as always, you’ll be the first to hear about it when it’s ready.
